The Andis AGC 2-Speed Clipper runs at up to 3,400 strokes per minute due to it�s heavy duty, high speed motor. The unit is equipped with a 4 x 4 blade drive for 25% more blade torque. The AGC 2-Speed Clipper is the ultimate grooming tool with it�s power, control, and versatility. The unit features a 14� cord. The unit also features a locking switch button so the unit cannot accidently turn off will being used. The clipper is maintenance free, with no oiling or greasing of internal parts required. The break resistant housing can resist harsh chemicals and day to day use. The clipper comes equipped with an UltraEdge #10 blade and works will all Andis UltraEdge and CeramicEdge blades.     I bought these clippers based on all the great reviews I read, but when I read in the instructions that you have to oil before, DURING and after use I realized it wasn’t for me. Oiling it while cutting the dog’s coat? I don’t understand that at all. Maybe because I’m not a professional groomer, but my 15 and 17 year old poodles are terrified of groomers and I simply won’t put them through the stress.

    After frying our last trimmer I went to a local pet supply to find a high powered shaver for our cocker spaniel, but could not find one powerful enough. All the positive reviews are right! This one slips right through thick hair easily with no snagging. The blade itself does get a bit hot so I’d recommend getting the cooling spray. I should have bought this one long ago!

    These clippers work much better than the cheap one we had. We have large dogs and needed to step up to something professional quality.

    Andis 22340 AGC 2-Speed Professional Animal Clipper Great product.quiet, does not get hot, and gives a nice smooth cut on my mini Schnauzer

    I have two poodles and every time I was going to the groomer I would spend about $100, so I decided to invest my money wisely and I got a professional clipper. I paid around $130 for the clipper, almost the same thing I would pay for ONLY one visit to the groomer! Of course since I am not a groomer the only thing I know how to do is to cut the hair short, but since there are many websites and also videos in Youtube that show you how to cut their hair, I am sure nex time, I will be able to do more than just cut their hair short.

    Way to go!
