My shih tzu is a fussy little guy with very long, silky hair. He tolerates being brushed, but he actually fell asleep while being “brushed” him with the andis de-shedder! I was shocked as he just seemed to love the massaging action. In addition to my dog loving it, I love that it removed mounds of hair. He does shed a lot and since he has long hair and he’s an inside dog…well you can imagine. My vacuum was tired of its daily workout and my husband was tired of always having to remove dog hair from the vacuum’s roller. My dark clothes love that I don’t have white fur on them all the time. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy it from Amazon so I paid a bit more for it, but the price for the andi de-shedder at my local pet store was $15 less than the Furminator and it does the exact same thing. Love, love, love it!

I live in Costa Rica and own a 4 year old yellow Lab. Tropical heat even for a light colored dog is a concern. Dude had enormous quantities of shedding which I swept daily. Just to pet him you would end up with fist-fulls of hair. Ordered the Andis Medium De-Shedder, thinking even if it doesn’t work as the sales video shows, it wasn’t too expensive of a waste of money. This tool is the best thing ever for our Dude. His coat is shinier, shorter, sleeker, softer and the shedding is MUCH less. He has to be more comfortable in this heat. He is somewhat “gordo” but looks thinner with less hair. Hey, maybe I should try it! I would give this product 10 stars.

We have an American Eskimo dog who sheds constantly. Since we started using this tool, we noticed a marked decrease in his shedding, plus he is scratching himself less.

We let our friend who keeps horses try this out and she is buying one for her stable.

One suggestion- buy the 4″ de-shedder even if you have a small dog. The blade works with all size animals and even with a small dog (my wife has a toy poodle), it is easy to use and the animals love it!

I have three dogs. One being a pyrinees and the other two shepherds. Need I say I have to vacuum almost daily. I have cut the amount of vacuuming time down to half so far and I have only owned this for a couple weeks.
