I have a big yellow lab. He weighs about 90 pounds. I bought it because it was the only bed that was big enough to fit my dog on. I read the reviews and they said that there was too little filling. That didn’t bother me much because one review said that one side opens. That’s right! One side of the bed opens with strong Velcro. The package comes with a packed filling and it takes some time to fluff up. If you want a lot of filling you can just open the side and stuff some in. It will cost more to buy a bed with more filling, but you can just go out and buy some filling for a little money. It took some time to deliver but it was worth the wait and the money. This is a good bed for your big dog.

I have 2 German Shepherds and wanted comfortable bedding but something large enough to accomodate my cats who like to cuddle up or share the beds with my dogs at night. Over the years I have spent a lot of money on dog beds but these beds are the best value ever. The bottom of the bed is a washable vinyl, the top a nice plaid flannel material. I vacuum the top daily and it looks great. One side of the bed easily opens due to a velcro tab so the cushioned bedding that comes with the bed can be inserted. This cushion is about 3 inches in depth which is very comfortable for my dogs. However there is enough room to add another 3 to 4 inches of filling to really provide a plush bed for my pets. I did purchase 2 bags of polyester fill used to fill pillows and added it to the bed for my 10 year old shepherd, so for an additional $5.00 she has a 6 inch deep plush bed to provide additional cushioning for her aging joints. My younger shepherd (2 years old) prefers the standard bed cushioning I received with the bed. The size of the beds not only accomodates my 2 year old 85 lb German Shepherd when she is laying fully stretched out and still leaves plenty of room for 2 cats to sleep on it as well. GREAT VALUE, I would recommend these beds to anyone with large sized dogs or even 2 small to mid size dogs to sleep on at one time. In fact I plan to order Coleman’s round beds as well for another room in my house.

I am very surprised that Coleman would put out crap like this. There is hardly any padding, the cloth material ripped to shreds just by my dobbie walking on it. I think Coleman is a terrific company, but they missed the mark on this thing.

The price was great! The bed is great! She loves it. She’s on it all the time. I like to flip it over so she lays on the shiny side where it is cooler on her. The packaging was very clever. The inside came vacumm packed for easier shipping. My Great Pyrenees weighs 125 pounds and it’s the perfect size for her. The other night I found her and the 80 pound lab curled up together on it. He likes hers better than his own (other brand) bed.

The bed has a nice, durable nylon base material. The top plaid material is soft. The bed is easy to clean using a vacuum cleaner. However, the padding is too thin. I had the model smaller than this one, but it got torn apart in a fit of rage by my shephard/lab. When I was looking for a replacement bed, I read a review that said these beds have padding that is too thin, and that two pads for a single bed is needed. That gave me an idea. I bought a new bed, and put the pad from the torn-apart bed into it. I pinned the pads together, and the bed is now really soft and plush. My dog loves it. Keep in mind that I was forced to get another bed since my dog shredded the first one. It really does need more padding. I was fortunate in that I had padding from my first bed I could still use to supplement the new one I just bought. If I knew how thin the padding was, I wouldn’t have bought the first bed. If this is the scenario you are in, avoid this bed.
