We bought these clippers for our medium hair cat (who often gets feces stuck in his hind leg hair). These clippers would not cut through his hair at all. We also had the same problem with the storage bag that one of the previous reviewers stated: it ripped apart at the seams the first time we put the items in it. You really have to pay more money for clippers that will actually work.

i got these for my 8lb schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle) puppy. everything looks simple enough, we got the clippers oiled up and ready to go but they WOULD NOT CUT PROPERLY! it pretty much just runs through and thins out the hair but doesn’t clip at any length, let alone the length it should. we even tried without the attachments, and it was so bad we had to go through and do it all by hand. the one thing that’s good about this kit is the scissors that come with it; god knows you’ll need it!

on top of that, the bag that is supposed to be a handy hold-everything-together bag RIPPED at all the seams, at the zipper, etc… so it holds nothing instead.

you get what you pay for i guess!

My husband and I bought this product and had to send it back. We have a 35lb australian shepherd with a relatively thick coat and medium length hair. Although these clippers were easy to use and did not overheat, they simply did not cut through our dog’s hair. We had to hand cut his hindquarters, chest and belly before we could even attempt to get the clippers to run through his hair. After 1 hour, we gave up and didn’t even attempt to do his neck and back hair. We’re going to have to bite the bullet and invest in a more professional set of clippers.
