    unlike the other two reviewers i loved the trimmer. i got mine from dog dot com though but still the same product. this is not a shaver so it doesn’t take off a lot of hair at once. it is a trimmer which is great for dog owners who constantly need to trim around the eyes, ears and paws. as a yorkie owner i would definitely recommend it. no nicks and my yorkie that is skittish of almost every weird noise went to sleep while i was doing his paws! the sound is the same as an electric toothbrush. the medium brush takes off very little hair. i used it when i was getting closer to the eyes.

    otherwise i used the long comb. great for lining up his beard, ears and paws. the teeth of the comb do seem to clog after a few minutes which is why i give it a 4. you will have to shut it of for a minute and clean the comb with the included brush or pull the hair out with your fingers. maybe even take the brush attachment off and clean under it and then put it back on before continuing. but it only takes a few seconds.

    it’s about half the size of an average computer mouse. completely wireless and only uses 1 AA battery. the instructions do suggest you take out the battery when not in use to avoid battery drain and accidentally flicking the on switch. the trimmer has already more than paid for itself. on the site i went to they also sell extra blades

    My experience was opposite (but just as negative) as the other reviewers. We couldn’t get it to cut anything at all. If you went over the same spot again and again, you might cut a few hairs each time, but that’s hardly practical. The teeth are so small that they just couldn’t catch any hair. My guess is that Conair wanted to design a trimmer that would be as safe as possible. A spoon would also be very safe, and just about as effective.

    I bought it to trim around my dogs ears and face because the ad said it was quieter. It knicked an area near my dog’s eyes and I didn’t notice until the next day when it scabbed up. Won’t use it anymore!!!!!!!
