The product is near commercial quality, being well built with a stronger electric motor than many other brands. I use the product to trim 2 or 3 dogs at a time. This means a duty cycle of 30-45 minutes per pet. The competition offers a slightly lower cost unit BUT it will not stand up to extensive use of this nature without over heating. The acessories are of good quality and the ceramic blade with various attachments served us well.

Thank you Conair for what seems to be a good product.

I’m not a professional…just an owner of 2 long-haired cats, and one of them is prone to matting. I started with a $30 clipper (different brand), but I upgraded to this Conair based on a friend’s recommendation. It zips through the fur and doesn’t get hot like cheaper clippers might. The only issue I’m having is that the blade dulled much sooner than I expected, so now I have to either buy a replacement or find a way to sharpen the one I have. There’s an address in the manual where you can send the blade for sharpening, but it doesn’t say how much it costs or what the process is. The clipper only comes with 1 blade, so I can’t use it until I have a sharp blade.
