  1. Sick and Tired of FedEx 's and USPS rotten delivery says:

Flimsy construction and not tall enough for pets to reach the bed. But, this shipper chose to use UPS and we appreciate the prompt delivery. The items also arrived in perfect condition.

I bought these steps so my dog could get onto the bed. I have hardwood floors and the steps have a tendency to move when the dog uses them. I bought a piece of rubber to put on the bottom and it seems to have corrected the issue. If you have rugs then these steps will work well.

I needed something for my aging cat that would help her get up and down off the furniture and bed. The steps are very helpful, but need to be one step taller. I think it should come with it, but you have to order the 4th step separately. The nice thing was that the assembly is easy and the sheepskin cover fits nicely without slipping. I recommend it for small pets and elderly pets that need help so they don’t jump down and injure themselves and can get to you to cuddle on the couch with ease. Both owner and pet will benefit from the steps.

total junk. My dog is eleven pounds and won’t use them. the step width isn’t good and they are flimsy. With these you really do get what you pay for.

I wanted to contribute here that these are lightweight but very sturdy steps. This was critical to ME, because I have had back pain for 20 years. To easily get our aging dogs in and out of the car so they could still enjoy going for rides was a challenge for ME. We have two sets of these stairs, and they are the only ones that met MY needs. They are very lightweight and I can zip them in and out of the trunks of our two cars (one for each car) without my husband’s help. Look around and you’ll see that these are the most lightweight, but are engineered to hold a dog up to 70 lbs. We actually were using them for both our 72 pound golden retriever, as well as our 45 pound mutt. Our retriever died last year at age 16, and she used them until she could climb no more.

I can understand that some people would view that they want something more furniture-like, for their home, mainly. But these fit the bill for their portability and moveability for me, and may be appreciated by many others for the same reason, even within a home. The only reason I happen to be writing this is that I’m looking to add a 4th step to our 3 step one, as our 14 year old remaining dog is seeming to need that next level to not have to do a little leap into the car, and is having trouble navigating downward as well. We added a 4th step to the other one of ours 3 years ago, but we are needing a 4th step for the steps we keep in the trunk of my husband’s car now. I can’t seem to find how to order them online, and the order form only comes in the original packaging, which we no longer have. The manufacturer doesn’t have a website! If you buy these, determine whether or not you need that 4th step right away, while you have that order form. Or keep it a good place for later in case.

Oh, I noticed that some people complained about the cost of the 4th step. And I was annoyed too when we bought it for our first set. But when you look at it, it has about the same amount of total material as half of the 3 steps, and also they have to provide a fabric cover for an entire 4 step setup, not just a cover for the 4th.

Which brings up one last thing: I like that you can machine wash the step covers. Surprisingly, they don’t get that dirty, and we just wash them whenever she gets groomed, along with her bedding. Here’s another point: Because of the type of fuzzy textile they used, the dogs have a good, non-slip grip on the stairs. I don’t know if dogs slip on wooden doggie stairs, since we never bought any, but I do know that they slip on the hardwood floors in our house.

Overall, these are really great, truly lightweight but strong. I just realized they have never broken or chipped in the slightest. I love them, as you can tell.
