This is a great wipe. I bought the green tea scented wipes and the smell was too strong. The unscented version is perfect. Another reviewer said that it had a strong scent, but I disagree. It doesn’t have a scent at all. I highly recommend this wipe. And the price is right on Amazon!
I have several friends who are allergic to cats, but thanks to these wipes, they have no problem playing with my two boys when they’re visiting. I still need to give my stinky one-year-old a bath every other month, but the wipes serve the purpose for which I bought them.
Earthbath Grooming Wipes also have my ticket because they are a product of the USA.
As stated on the packaging: “Use Earthbath…Grooming Wipes…to safely and easily wipe away dirt and odor BETWEEN BATHS.” These are NOT meant as a replacement for bathing. Sorry.
I purchased these wipes because sometimes my cat can have a messy bowel movement and he gets some on his bloomers. This cat is a rescue feral and cannot be bathed, he could be on fire and he wouldn’t let us bathe him so I bought these as an alternative to torturing him with the sink sprayer. Unfortunately I don’t think these do the job at all. Other reviewers are correct when they say the wipes are dry – they are terribly dry and I end up using fistfuls of wipes when I run into an incident. They also don’t do a good job of cleaning and they seem to tear fairly easily. I did purchase the unscented so I understand why my cat can still smell like poop but he just never seems clean to me afterward. I usually end up dampening a paper towel with a dab of cat shampoo and cleaning him that way.
While I can’t vouch for a regular wipe-down I would not purchase these again since they don’t do me or my cat any good.
I bought the green tea version of this grooming wipes since I saw many raving reviews about it. It’s true that the green tea fragrant is very pleasant and the wipes leave a better fragrant on my puppy than the few other wipes I have used. However, there are things I did not expect and would love to know ahead.
Positive:
- Mild cleaner and my puppy’s fur feels smoother and softer
- Moisturing yet doesn’t leave any sticky residue
- LEAVES a better fragrant than the Propet bath wipes I previously used. Most wipes smell decent, some may smell better than others, yet the smell on my dog after he is wiped is what I focus here. This deodorizes pretty well, better than the other wipes I used.
Negative:
- Horrible packaging – the box lid is not air tight.
- The wipes are tougher than the wipes I previously used but it’s not as absorbent, thus it feels not as wet. The wipes is quite dry after half of my dog’s fur is cleaned. I am not sure it it’s because of the packaging that caused the wipes to be less moist or the material of the wipes. It just makes me wonder what’s the use of a tough wipe that does not hold enough moisture to clean large area… I end up adding some water to the wipes every time I use it.
- Cleansing power does not seem to be as good as the Propet wipe I previously used. My solution is using this on daily basis to wipe my dog’s feet and be confident that it’s mild and good for his fur coat when it’s not very dirty but use the Propet wipes when my puppy has some dirt or mud on him.
I still think it’s an excellent product but they should really change packaging to keep wipes very wet.
The box says “fraqrance free” but there’s definitely a smell. The wipes might not have added fragrance, but some ingredient smells very perfumey. My dog and my hands smelled of perfume for some time afterward, and I tried only one wipe. They might be fine for people who don’t care about scents, but I’m going back to just using a warm, damp washcloth.
