I have a Lab Puppy 9months old who loves to get the stuffing out of toys. I’ve wasted so much money. We like him to have soft toys so he can have something in his mouth when he plays with the kids. This Skinneeez was the perfect solution. No stuffing to get out, soft toy to carry around. He doesn’t want to tear it apart. I would recommend.
My puppy loves her Skineez toy. This is her second one. I don’t worry about her tearing it open and ingesting a bunch of stuffing. The double squeakers are fun for her and make it fun for humans playing with her. As she matures and starts ripping it apart, I’ll remove the squeakers for the dog’s safety. I would strongly recommend this toy for puppies.
While the toy is good size and very soft, our dog had it opened up within five minutes, and in pieces within 15. I suppose if your dog doesn’t rip apart plush toys, it would be fine, but it is in no way a tough toy.
I saw an add for this on TV and had to try it. I read some of the reviews saying that lab puppies were tearing it up which surprised me. I have had one for about two weeks and it is still in great condition no tears and the squeakers intact. I have a beagle/terrier mix that is very hard on toys but she has played with it for hours and not destroyed it. She really loves it and plays with it every day. I ordered another one just for fun.
My Jack Russell mix can tear up a regular stuffed toy in a couple of hours. We had even tried the AKC toys, she tears the feet, tails, etc. off of them and scatters the stuffing out so it looks like it has snowed in our house. I knew I had to give these a try when I saw them. They are terrific! She has had her skineeez squirrel for 9 months now and it is still going strong! She likes to play tug of war with it, and when it gets icky, I throw it in the washer, press the water out of the squeakers, and hang it up to dry. It is ready to go as soon as it is dry again. She goes to bed with it, in fact, she is passed out on the couch with it right now.
