    When choosing a dog food it is certainly important to look at protien sources and vitamin content. But you will notice a great number of the Eukanuba brands list “chicken by-products” in the ingredients. A friend who did quite a bit of research on the different varieties of food and especially focused on Eukanuba brands spent about 20 minutes reading ingredients on the sides of Eukanuba brands until we found the “Natural Lamb and Rice Adult Formula Dog Food”. It was the only one that did not list the “by-products” in the ingredients. My problem with “By-products” is that they may legally contain fecal matter and a bunch of other gross stuff that I just will not have my dog eating.

    The moral of the story, even amongst what is revered to be one of the best brands to feed your dog, you still need to look at the ingredients located on the side of the bacg and stay away from those that contain “by-products”
