This is our Extra Large 34? x 48″ Orthopedic Dog Pet Bed made with orthopedic grade thick convoluted foam, which allows for proper circulation when resting, and provides comforting support for your aging and aching dog. The top of the bed is a soft faux sheepskin and the base is a durable poly/cotton blend. To keep it clean, unzip the cover and throw it in the wash.     I bought this dog bed for my 90 lb Akita who has hip dysplasia and I didn’t want him sleeping on the hardwood floor. He LOVES it! It is plenty big enough for him. Most of the time I find him laying with his head off of it, but it’s not because there’s not enough room for him. He runs to it and lays down every night – I’m so glad I got it for him!!

    I bought this for our 10 year old lab who has had two hip surgerys and is on medication for his hips.

    He usually moved around at night on his old bed, which we thought was high quality, but, I dont hear him move around at all on this new bed. In fact this is the only place he likes to lay now.

    I think this was definitely worth the price.

    The extra large beds are the perfect size for our Great danes. We bought two beds in Burgandy and they are perfect. We have had them about a month and the dogs sleep on them all day. So far there is no indention from where they lay and they are thick enough to support the weight of 125lb+ dogs. Even when both danes sleep on the same bed the bed does not smush down. I bought zippered waterproof twin mattress covers to put between the bedfoam and the cover so they would be waterproof and drool proof. Keeps the smell down and makes the beds last three times as long. i have washed the burgandy covers once and did not have very much shrinking. there was a little shrinkage but not enough to cause concern. We are looking to get another smaller one for our cat because he cuddles up with the dogs on the bed. Great purchase!

    I bought this bed for my 5yr old, 70lb, “All American” Dog. He’s not fat, he’s just a big dog that has a “curiousity” for mail carriers. When he was 1yr old, he jumped out of our moving car to chase a squirrel, but his leash was attached to the seat so he fractured hip and ended up having athritis. That doesnt top him from being Captian Bad Behind, but he’s my baby so I dont mind. But it does take him a second to get off the floor and we have very little carpet left in our for him to feel comfortable on. Most beds he goes through like a fat kid on brownies but this one is holding up pretty nicely. I got it for him for Christmas and even though it smelled like cigarettes when I took it out of the box, the odor disappeared after about 30 min – 1 hr. He watched it for a minute to make sure it didnt do anything funny, but I put a treat in a corner that was against the wall so he had no choice but to get on the bed to get it. Once he felt how soft it was he didnt move for about 6 hours. I thought maybe he was high from being directly in the cigarette that was really weed smell but after he did it for a week straight, I figured he just really liked the bed.
