Triangle-shaped brush with smooth rubber nubs
Massages your pet while stimulating its hair and skin
I used it on my 11mo/old black German Shepherd for the first time today. I could not believe how much fur was in my tub! I didn’t think she was even shedding that much, due to our negative temperatures in Fairbanks. Her coat is very soft now, and I’m happy that I don’t have to vacuum it up!
The Furminator bath-time brush works well and is worth the purchase. It is easy to hold and does not slip during use. The only disadvantage to the brush is it is somewhat difficult to clean the hair out of the brush. So far I’ve found that I have to wait until the brush dries to remove the extra hair. However, the brush does remove a substantial amount of hair.
I was super excited to receive this item, not sure why but i was. First time using it I expected better results in it actually removing loose hair.It did ok but the loose hair it did remove was hard to get off of rubber nubs. My dog however loved it. The first time I didn’t have to chase her around the bathtub!! She stood there as if it was the best massage she’s ever gotten and I must admit it did work up a great lather with the shampoo. She smelled like baby shampoo for a week so in that aspect it was great.
This is a helpful tool when bathing our short haired dog. We use it to scrub in shampoo and then to brush out fur while rinsing. It isn’t a necessary tool for bathing, but is a good start to de-furring. We use the FURminator brush as well and this seems to do a better job removing large amounts of fur.
Well, I was hoping I would love this product because I really don’t like having to use my hands to lather up my dog. Unfortunately this did not help work up a lather at all, but I think it is because since he is a Doberman Pinscher he has short hair. Seems like most people with longer haired dogs rated it well, so if you have one, go for it, but you may want to rethink it for a short haired dog. I guess I will give this to my friend and see if her Cocker Spaniels enjoy it.
