    Wolters is the best for training dogs. We used his method of positive reinforcement with our children & they turned out great too(now 18 & 20 yrs old)!! Unbelievable to get a puppy to do all the commands at such an early age without ever raising a hand, just a look is all it takes. This is our 4th copy as we lend them out & never get them back! We’ve had Family Dog too & it’s just as good. This is a must read for any dog owner.

    I had this book before, loaned it out and it went missing.I just got a Brittany pup, again, and wanted a refresher. It’s a very good common sense approach to training although it is an early treatise.

    Still worth a spot on the shelf as reference. Teaches good manners in an easily understood way.

    it is a bit old in its methods such as “when your wife is in the kitchen cooking your dinner” comments. Also, he is a little more physical with his dog training than you will be, it is a good training book. Our dog was amazing!

    Excellent book for training gun dogs or any dog in general. I would recommend this book for anyone wanting training advice from the novice to the expert. Very clear and sensical tips and training advice that is easy to follow and implement.
