    It took almost a week for our pup to figure out how to tear this door apart. I then put in piano hinges in place of the little pieces of rubber-like material that serve as hinges. Holding up now, but it’s always been a bit noisy when used. Still better than the vinyl flaps the puppies like to chew on. Plastic pieces are showing some cracks now, with super-glue will be able to get at least a year, maybe longer, out of it.

    The plastic frame is really cheap, and the “security door” is cheap plastic that wouldn’t keep a coon, much less a person, out.

    The problem is the lack of alternatives.
