Great value, haven’t changed the battery in 3 weeks. My dog wears the collar for approx. 4 hrs per day.

We bought this collar at the recommendation of the rescue place where we adopted our dog, a Lhasa-Poo. We ended up using it on our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel as well, and also my Mom used it on her dogs.

First of all, the collar works marvelously…on most dogs. Our Cavy only has to see the collar coming his way and he is instantly contrite and stops barking. In fact, we can put it on him with no batteries in it and it works fine. We don’t even use it that much anymore on him. It worked well on my moms West Highland Terrier and Yorkshire Terrier. But it doesn’t work at all on the Lhasa-Poo. He has a high pitched screechy bark and when he gets buzzed, he screeches more, which causes further buzzing. He has learned that as long as he starts barking and continues to bark, he only gets buzzed once. So instead of helping him, it has made him 10x worse. The collar only buzzes on the first bark, so if there is not a pause, it doesn’t buzz again until they stop. And if your dog tends to whine a lot, as this dog does, he will get buzzed for whining after he’s stopped barking.

I give the collar 5 stars because out of 4 dogs it worked wonders on 3 of them, so I don’t think it’s that the collar is bad, just that it is the wrong way to train certain dogs.

The collar actually works but it needs to be very tight on the dogs neck. Once it was tight enough and it zapped her she quit barking. I only kept it on her a few days but once it was off and the doorbell rang she barked once and then yiped like she was shocked but she didn’t have the collar on. She used to bark at “things” around the house and no longer does that. I do let her bark outside but our life is much calmer due to her not barking inside. I would recommend this but make sure the collar is tight and the probes are under their neck.

collar worked great. I have 2 dogs a shitzu and a wheaton terrer, yes i said terrer. I have a young son at home and my dogs will bark at every noise all day long. Well getting him to stay asleep during nap time sometimes is a challenge. These collars were the answer. Dogs barked maybe twice after putting them on and didn’t make a sound after that, I just use them when I need them to be quiet so maybe 2 or 3 hours a day. but worked perfect for me..

My Mini Pin’s barking was getting worse and worse. I could not let her out into my fenced backyard in the early morning because she would bark non stop. This would irritate my neighbors who were getting robbed of their sleep. Inside the house it was only slightly better. She would bark when the door bell rang or someone knocked at the door. I decided to purchase the Innotek correcting collar after reading many positive reviews. Some owners said they were able to remove the collar after just one or two days. This was comforting as I felt somewhat guilty about using a product like this on my dog. In my case I did not get positive results. With the collar snugly around the dog’s neck and a working battery in the unit, I saw no improvement in my pet whatsoever. She barks as long and as loud as before. The only difference is that I am now out $40.

    Caveat Emptor.
