My dog had this product in pieces in less than 5 minutes. Not a good buy

My dog LOVES this toy, but it does not last long at all. He tore a huge hole in it the first time he played with it. I stitched it back together, but he kept destroying it every time he played with it. I got tired of constantly having to sow it and threw it away after a week. I would not recommend this toy.

Less than five minutes after I gave my dogs this toy they had stuffing falling out of it. They have a million cheap-o target toys that still squeak and aren’t falling apart at the seams but this one just didn’t hold up. It’s a waste of money and a pain in the patootie gathering up all the stuffing. Much better luck with those AKC toys (i.e., the duck or chipmunk).

I ordered this for my shiba inu puppy, and she really seemed to enjoy it when I first gave it to her. It’s not her favorite toy, but she does have fun chewing it and making it squeak. I can’t give it five stars though, because it isn’t perfect. The squeaker in the nose still works fine, but the bigger squeaker in the body stopped working after only a couple of days. My puppy was only about nine weeks old when this happened, and isn’t really what I would call a “strong chewer”. So it was kind of disappointing for the squeaker to stop working after such a short period of time.

My husband and I bought one of these for our dog almost a year ago because we had newborn twin daughters and Scooter wasn’t getting as much attention as he was used to.

I don’t know how he knew this toy was for him when we got home, tags off & I was standing, holding it in my hand. Scooter jumped up and grabbed this right out of my hands. He NEVER has done anything like that with anything, not my daughters stuffed animals, nothing. We were cracking up about it.

Scooter was SO excited about his new toy, at first he ran all over with it, dropping it a few times and rushing back to get it. Then he got to town suckling it, he does the suckling with pillows, blankets, acts like he is a puppy suckling on his Mom, pretty funny.

He DOES like to chew on things also and once he discovered the squeakers inside he was determined to extract them. If we were able to see him chewing on this we’d tell him to stop so he would and would only suckle. But having newborn twins we were not able to keep a watchful eye on him and before long he had the nose squeaker chewed out. Later he had the body squeaker chewed out. I made sure to get all the squeaker pieces & throw them away so he wouldn’t eat them.

Over time Scooter occasionally chews on an ear, foot, head or body so now his Buddy is quite raggedy. He is missing an ear, partial ear, several feet, most of his nose, his tail, several places in his body.

BUT this is still Scooters FAVORITE toy, he still suckles, chews & runs around with his Buddy EVERYDAY. We will buy him a new one for Christmas this year.

If you have a dog that chews, they will chew this thing up, it is fabric after all. But our dog has VERY strong jaws and can chew through those edible dog bones that are supposed to last for a long time in just minutes so the fact that this thing is still in “one” piece is quite amazing.
