I believe this to be a perfect dog treat and have great respect for everything that Newman’s Own Organics does. Unfortunately, my two dogs (male 9 yrs & female 3 yrs) just are not impressed. I think perhaps if the ‘cookies’ were a little less dry and / or their excellent quality ingredients were just a little more aromatic that they would be more tempting and desired by my spoiled, but well loved dogs. If I break the cookie in half, it seems to release slightly more tasty aroma and I can almost talk the dogs into them.
Newman’s Own Organic Dog Treats, cheese flavor, for small dogs. We rate this product highly. Our two dogs like the treats, and we like them for the ingredients in the treats, especially the absence of glutions.
I have three dogs and they all love these treats. Leave it to Paul Newman!
Regardless if your dogs likes tractor oil better or not, Newman’s Own is a label you can trust. Fortunately, my dogs do love it. All except for a couple (Salmon and oats) ingredients are certified organic, I’d say that this is a higher standard than most of the stuff I eat.
And that is pretty much true. I have a hound that chomps frogs, has licked tractor oil, goes after the peanut butter on mouse traps (that’s a sight to see), and even swallowed a medium-sized allen wrench (got him to force it out before it made it to the stomach).
But that old saying that a dog will eat anything is definitely proven false with Newman’s Own Organic Salmon and Sweet Potato treats. Who thought this one up?!
If a dog who has a fancy for petroleum won’t even eat these things, you know they really have to be bad. Plus, I don’t really think a dog cares if something is organic or not. Maybe this is good for one of those little mini-dogs they have in Manhattan, but real dogs drink beer and eat beef.
