This is a piece of junk it has come apart and the wood is cracking and I just got it 2 days ago I am so disappointed that Amazon would sell something so shoddy.
Initially I could not get this gate to work, meaning no pressure against the walls.
A contractor friend figured out the directions. It is counter intuitive.
It does work, but you need to understand the mechanics, for some reason the company
falls to provide them. I guess they have no interest in the reputation of their product.
The bar needs to go straight down and will snap into place on the lower bar via the metal fork.
It works good, if you understand the mechanics.
When trying to expand or collapse the gate it falls apart. I have other gates that are better constructed than this one….wont buy from this company again.
This quality made gate does exactly what it needs to for a very attractive price. Recommended!
We have had this gate for about two months and still can not get it to actually stay put! Our 12 month old is able to knock it right down, no matter where we put it. It doesn’t adjust well. It never makes a tight, secure fit. I thought it would be a great gate for the price but I was wrong … cheap in TWO ways!!
