Over the years I have explored almost every method of flea control available, and none provided more than brief, limited, relief. We currently have 3 indoor-outdoor cats and one in/out dog, all of whom roam large areas at will; also, several roaming doggie friends spend a lot of time hanging out around the house. I was prepared to be un-impressed with Program, and was betting I would have to layer on some Frontline (which I admit I may need to do this summer).

After just one month of Program, I am VERY pleased. The flea population in the house dropped dramatically within a week, was nonexistent for about two weeks and, though there was a slight resurgence at the end of the month, is still very low.

The critters like the flavor tabs, AND big dog tabs can be halved for kitties (to save money)! And it’s OTC (don’t have to get from the vet, sorry, Doc), and available for a bit less. We are converts to biological warfare!

Hasn’t fully worked yet, but it’s only been a month. Hopefully witin the next month or two, they will all be gone!

When I received Program, it was so old, it didn’t have any potency and didn’t work at all. I followed all instructions and treated adult fleas with spot treatments. My dog continued to have fleas. How do I know that the Program I received was old? It had disintergrated to powder.

I love this product. It works GREAT with no nasty chemicals. Only draw back is it only works for fleas (as far as I know.) If ticks or mange is a problem in your area try Frontline Plus or Revolution. My daughter brought home a mangy mutt who was running the mean streets of Tacoma and now all my dogs are suffering. Frontline and Rev. will help control the mange, but not completely get rid of it. So we are using the latter products until that problem is controlled, but then we’ll be back to The Program. Do love the prod cut!

I previously used Advantage to take care of my cat’s flea problem, and it worked immediately – but my cat absolutely hated the smell which lingered on her body. She would howl and run off when she saw me approaching with the Advantage vial, and I hate being the villain once a month. So now I’ve switched to Program. It’s kind of a pain mashing the tablet and mixing it up into wet catfood. Also, it takes a couple of days to take effect. But – it does work well, and my cat is very happy. I will definitely buy Program tabs again.
