I bought this leash to work with my dog to train him to walk by my side, and stop the pulling ahead & jerking me around. It’s working!

This leash is a little wider than the one I was using – the older leash was skinnier, and no matter how I held it, it ended up cutting into my hand. Walking the dog was just painful.

This new leash is around 1″ wide, give or take, fairly light in weight, and very strongly constructed. I can wrap it around my hand to keep the leash short (we go on ‘Cesar Milan’ walks) without the leash cutting into my hand at all. It’s quite strong and well constructed – I’m walking a 20 lb Cairn Terrier, but I could see someone using it with a much larger dog, like a big Labrador, or even a Great Dane. This leash is a good bit thicker than my old leash, which is also very good. Even if you let your dog have the full 6′ of this leash, you don’t have to worry about it coming apart at all. It is very well made.

It has a fun checkerboard pattern in two shades of blue, and is visually appealing. The clip for attaching it to your dog’s collar or harness is also very sturdy.

Bottom line: I’ve owned dogs for the last 24 years, and this leash is extremely well constructed, has a quality clasp, is comfortable in your hands, and is an incredibly good value for the price. I’ll definitely be buying another one.
