Would of given it 5 star but I haven’t used it enough to see if there might be anything we didn’t like. We love the way it cut and with ease. We had purchased two different Walhs, one was a horse standerd product and we couldn’t shave or Spriner Spaniels without taking all day.The Oster A5 did it in a jiff.

The Oster A5 2 speed just did what we wanted. we only have the one blade that came with it and we where happy with it. If you are paticuler about the cut I would recommed getting different blades for different areas of the body eg. body, face, feet.

I bought these clippers this past summer after owning a pair of A5′s over 15 years ago that worked great, only to find these are not well made like the oldies. This clipper heats up so much that in less than 10 minutes I had to set them down to cool as my hand was beginning to get too hot and my animal was jumping all over the place. I even had back up blades to snap on, and they only stayed cool for a few more minutes before they were boiling hot too! I took the clippers back and got another pair thinking it was maybe just the unit and discovered that it is ALL the Turbo A5′s, not just a defective unit. It’s too bad, Oster used to be “The” clipper to have and now I am looking for something else to use instead. We use these clippers on dairy goats for trimming up udders and legs, so there’s not a lot of thick hair, I can’t imagine how horrible they’d be trying to go through thick dog fur!! NOT RECOMMENDED

We have two schnauzers that we have been grooming for almost 5 years. We have had some success with other brands, but none that matches these. The clippers are quite and cut with one pass. I found that by the time I am on the second schnauzer, the blades can get hot. But, if you keep them cool with the spray, its not a problem. This was worth the money! They pay for themselves after 2 grooms.

We have 3 sets we use to clip horses, another brand does a better job. These are noisy, thus hard to use around the ears.

This item is very good as long as you are very quick otherwise it heats up and will burn your dog. I have to bring a block of ice with me to the bathroom where I clip my three dogs and I have to stop, unplug and place the clipper on ice to cool it down. the blade becomes so hot, that it literally is too hot to touch.

    disappointing for the money.
