    These clippers claim to be “whisper quiet”. That’s what made me order them because I have a sensitive St.Bernard that is suspicious of spray bottles, vacumm cleaners and anything else that makes a noise or threatens to groom her in any way. But after some slow introduction to the clippers, she actually laid down and let us shave her belly. As promised, the shears are about as quiet as you could expect electric clippers to be and I know that made it alot easier to get her to trust us and the clippers and know that not only did it not hurt her but she enjoyed it! It did a great job for the money and now we don’t have to take our giant dog to the groomer. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that it was a little slow going through our dogs thick hair, but then again most dogs don’t have the kind of dense hair that a St. Bernard has. It worked great we just had to take it slower than we’d expected. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs to save money by limiting the number of trips to the groomer’s or who, like us finds it a daunting task to even find a groomer who’s willing to take on our giant St. Bernard.
