  1. Dog Res Q.R. says:

I bought these clippeers for the express reason of clipper training two wild as mustang purebred fillies. The reason being that inexperienced horses will go around and around in circles when first introduced to clipping and everyone gets tangled in non cordless clippers.

On the good side, the clippers are quiet.

    On the bad side:

    1. Very heavy. If you are doing show clipping around the face and ears, your hand will waver if you’re a small female, and holding it up for a while will tire your entire forearm and hand. It will be difficult doing intricate clipping, say, around the ear without gouging. It’s the very heavy long running battery that makes this too heavy for comfort.

    2. The on/off switch is at the back of the clipper which means when you’re dealing with young horses and want to turn it off, you must either drop the horse’s lead as it takes two hands to shut it off, turn it on, or grow another hand. Whoever designed this NEVER clipped an animal. You want the on/off switch where your thumb would naturally go.

Oster, please go back to the drawing board on this one, make it lighter, put the on/off switch where a finger or thumb would naturally fall.
