The Tri-Fold Dog Ramp is ideal for getting your dog in and out of vehicles, high steps, and other areas that are to high for them to reach comfortably. The Tri-Fold design makes the unit both portable and compact for storage in small areas and takes up less space than other ramps.

The ramp arrived today. Yes, it has weight (26lbs), but so does my dog ( 60 lbs),therefore, I needed something sturdy. It sets up easily and my dog took to it after a few attempts. My dog’s hip strength is starting to diminish, so rather than strain my back lifting her in the car,not to mention getting covered in mud, this ramp is just the thing. I have a 4runner, so stowing it in the back is not a problem.
I gave a 4 star rating because one end of the ramp arrived cracked due to shipping. Padding the ramp corners inside the box with strofoam or bubblewrap would help with the product arriving unbroken.
Description of product was clear and accurate. I like the safety latch that hooks onto my SUV when ramp is unfolded and the latch to keep the ramp securely closed. The “briefcase” style of the ramp makes it easy to carry around. My dogs weigh 195 pounds and 110 pounds I understood that the ramp would have some weight to it. I had previously been using a telescoping ramp and it was too steep for my new vehicle (I was sick of pinching my fingers every time I used it anyway). This Pet Gear Trifold Ramp took a couple uses for me to find the most comfortable way to open and close it. I have found it and it takes me seconds to set up. I would definitely recommend this ramp for big dog owners.
The non-slip surface started to tear up after the first couple of uses by my 85 LB. Yellow Lab. Installed outdoor carpet w/double sided tape& it works great.
I researched for so long before purchasing this ramp for my large senior dog…I had just bought the Lexus RX suv and this ramp definitely fit perfectly – it is the perfect angle for Max to walk in slowly, not too sharp of an incline, etc. The only thing is, it’s incredibly heavy! It definitely makes it harder for me to justify lifting him in (he’s 73 pounds) or getting out the ramp. Anyhow, the ramp itself is great, but reconsider if you don’t have someone strong with you. Oh and it only took Max a couple of tries to get the hang of it and go up the ramp on his own…not bad for an old guy
Good luck!
I found this Dog Ramp to be too slipery for my 110# Weimaraner. It had to be substantially modified with non-skid and “Charlie” had to be re-
trained.
