    Planet dog hemp collars and leashes provide comfort for both you and your pup. Both of my dogs have sensitive skin and these collars have been the best fit for them. The inside is lined with fluffy fleece which prevents and skin irritation. The handle of the leash is also lined with fleece – an added comfort bonus for us humans. These products are worth every penny!

    First, I just want to say I bought this item twice. My dog’s neck is 19 in, which is between the medium and large. So I bought large to be safe. As someone else put in their comments, if you get the collar too big when you sinch it up the soft fuzzy part is covered by the outside. So I then bought a medium to try. All the way loose it fits just right and he gets the soft fuzzy inside against his neck.

    The reason I wanted to try this collar is because my dog had been getting severe neck irritation. I had a nylon collar before and it would rub the hair off his neck. One day after he went in the water (which I guess awet collar will irritate skin much more)his neck got so rubbed raw it turned into a big scab. I started taking his collar off as soon as we were done with our walk but he was still getting irritated. So far with this collar he hasn’t gotten any irritation. He hasn’t gotten it wet yet (too cold to go in the river right now) but his neck is fully healed and hasn’t gotten inflamed once with it.

    I would recommend this collar to every dog with sensitive skin.

    (and I also bought the leash to try, and it is also very soft and flexable and nicer for me to wrap around my hand then the old nylon one.)

    Love this collar as it is soft on the inside and edges. Our beagle was losing a bit of hair from the back of her neck because most collars are stiff and hard. This great collar has solved the problem and I am sure my dog is happier. It truly is soft and Cozy.

    We like these Planet Dog Cozy Hemp collars that we purchased for our two yellow labs. They’re soft and comfortable for the dogs to wear, and are safe for dogs who wrestle and play with each other a lot, as ours do. Plus, the colors are muted and attractive. However, if you have dogs that pull when on a leash, these collars WILL loosen up and allow the dog to slip out of it, which could be dangerous if you’re in an area where there’s traffic. For safety, we add a Gentle Lead or a pinch collar if we’re going out for a walk, then remove it when we get home and leave these collars on for daily wear and for attaching their ID tags.

    The collar is refreshingly large, even for our Bernese Mountain Dog, so there were no worries over being too tight. The collar is easily visible due to its width, and it’s softness means fewer worries about pressure on our dog’s neck. A sturdy, well-made product, I would highly recommend.
