I’m always looking for items to keep my dog entertained, and this works well.
As soon as we received it, I popped in a small handful of liver treats-by Bil-Jac, and gave it to her. For the next thirty minutes, she rolled it around, nosing it, pawing it, even dropping it and trying to shake it. Once she had rolled all the treats out, she carted it off and put it on her doggie bed.
Now she brings it in and drops it on my lap when she thinks she deserves a treat.
Pros: Dog loves it.
Durable. Seriously-she’s fifty-five pounds and chews a lot, but this product has lasted awhile now.
Easy to use.
Cons: I can see where it may not work with certain types of kibble. I’m using it exclusively for her treats, and the treats are larger.
Although it is easy to clean, it gets gross pretty quickly. The dog slobbers on it, it rolls around on the ground-yuck! (It would be the same with any toy,
though.)
I received this item, unpacked it, filled it with food and 5 minutes later my dog had chewed off all the rubber bumpers leaving bits of purple rubber all over the floor and I assume in her belly (1 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback). This toy is worthless for dogs who like to chew or gnaw (which covers a good number of breeds).
My six month old Great Pyrenees is wild about this toy! Now meal time consists of 30-40 mintes of play instead of 90 seconds of inhaling. She eats a larger kibble Innova holistic large breed puppy) so I cut and resized the outlets as instructed
and she’s having a ball. This is a great use of her time and energy!
NICE TOY BUT MY DOBERMAN HAS MANAGED TO CHEW OUT THE BOTTOM! STILL SOMEWHAT USEFUL AS A TOY IN GENERAL
I love this toy for my 2 year old Golden Retriever. She is a big chewer and loves to play !
A trainer recommended the Busy Buddy to slow down her eating pace….She LOVES it… carries it to me when I get home to “fill er up”
OK… the large holes…
EASY FIX is once it is filled… I cover each of the holes with a good smear of peanut butter…
First is instant treat for my pup who is eager for the toy… Second is that is slows the kibble from exit. THIRD is a BONUS… the peanut butter that makes it inside the ball mixes with a little kibble and forms a small “patty shape” after 1/2 hour of playing…. This is the best when my pup brings the ball to me for a little help in getting the final treat !
Easy to clean by unscrewing and putting in the dishwasher !
Great toy…use some creativity and the holes are perfect… try a tennis ball also.
