    Thsi actually worked really greatfor us. It’s difficult if you have more than one dog though. The otherone always ends up getting sprayed, too.

    I bought this for my dogs to help curb their barking tendencies. In general, it works as described, and did in fact get them to stop barking. However, if one dog is standing too close to another and barks, it will set off the other dog’s collar. Also, when my dog shakes his head, it will spray him then as well. We only use this as a last resort of sorts. The dogs just really need to see us pull it out of the drawer, and they start behaving.

    I first bought two of these collars in 2008 for my two barkers. The collars worked on the barking problem and I wrote an enthusiastic review on Amazon. As others have noted, the collars need almost constant refilling and the batteries wear out quickly, even though I always remembered to switch the collars off once the dogs came in. Unfortunately, all three collars I have purchased are now clogged and useless. I didn’t mind replacing one collar because of clogging but now that I have three non-working collars after about one year of use, I thought I would write again.

    Hopefully your dog will learn quickly because these collars don’t last long.

    Well, the item was as expected and displayed, but my dog didn’t really seem to care whether or not she was getting sprayed in the face

    and continued to bark. I used it for about a week and then took it off of her. I’m sure it would work for a dog not so stubborn.

    She barked twice, that was all it took. I felt so bad but is much more humane that the shock collars. She has learned that when I take the collar off she can bark and nothing happends. I plan on leaving the collar on all the time for about a month and maybe she will forget about barking, at nothing. I adopted her, so she could have some baggage, does not like most men, she is two, my other dog, also two but I got her as a puppy and is not a barker. Min Pins, Foxy and Foo double the love!
