    I purchased this item for my 100 pound German shepherd and……he doesn’t like it at all (not the product’s fault, however). I like the concept and it is lightweight. It is basically made from a hard plastic with non-slip footing for the animal. It telescopes fairly easily. But…..I expected a lot more for that kind of money (I paid $107). When I opened the box, three end caps fell immediately to the ground. They will not stay in place so I had to epoxy them to cover sharp edges. I think this item is worth about half the price that I paid for it…..not a cent more. I would recommend that you spend another 40 or fifty dollars and buy an aluminum one instead. Some of the ones available are multipurpose….meaning that you can use it as a hand truck ramp, etc. Not a whole lot of engineering or otherwise went into developing this product which was……you-guessed-it, made in China!

    The ramp works great. you have to be careful when extending the unit to prevent pinching your fingers. However,this is not a complicated process. Our 10 year old 90 lb and 8 year old 120 lb Airedales went straight up and down without issue. Both dogs have some joint issues and this product makes it easy to load them in the SUV and truck.

    Great Ramp. I have two 140 pound Newfoundlands that I need to get in the back of a one ton 4×4 truck. I was not sure that the width was wide enough for a big dog, or that the ramp was long enough to accommodate the extra height of the 4×4 truck. But the ramp worked out great and the dogs learned to use it in the first day. Now whenever they see the ramp on the truck they run full speed, off-leash, up the ramp into the back of the truck because they know were going to the dog park.

    Puchased this dog ramp after reading all reviews. Sorry I took the recommendations.

    Took the ramp out of the damaged box and look it over seemed to be ok. Decided to try it right away so I placed it against the truck door and the bottom tabs fell off. Well that wasn’t a good sign. So then I got my dog, a 120 lb. Labrador, to walk up the ramp, thought the ramp was going to collapse. He got scared and jumped off!

    So needless to say the ramp will be going back!
