I purchased this product after my toy poodle’s leg was amputated due to a cancerous growth. I had hoped to use it near my bed so that my little ‘girl’ could continue getting up and down it with ease. I returned the PupSTEP within a week or two when it was apparent it was of no use to her. The design of this product is hugely flawed. The steps are too narrow in depth and width, which makes it likely the pet will fall off them.

The steps also appear to cant or tilt forward, but it’s possible they are just aligned vertically straight up, which is just as bad. The design should have the wider and deeper steps tilting away from the incline, not towards it. I can’t possibly see how any elderly or disabled dog or cat could ever learn to use them. My pooch certainly wasn’t able to, despite repeated attempts to train her.

Not only is the design of the PupSTEP flawed, but it is aesthetically unpleasing. Downright cheap and crummy looking, to be blunt, but had it served its intended purpose, I would have overlooked that and kept it. As it was, I couldn’t wait to return it and get a full refund.

This has really helped with our 65 pound puppy, who is still growing. She’s an English bulldog. Picking her up is like trying to pick up a bag of water. The vendor shipped in timely fashion, and included a thank you note for the order. The has saved my back, thanks.

Solid and easily navigated by my french bulldog – he learned to use it immediately (at 6 months of age). My only complaint is that the unit does not include rubber anti-sliders on the bottom (for hardwood floors), but I called the company and received them for a few dollars and they work beautifully. Might not be idea for larger dogs, but it’s perfect for small to medium dogs.

We have french bulldogs that weigh on avg 25-30 lbs but with their huge breast bones they are bulky to lift on and off furniture these steps are perfect to allow them access to the sofa without having to lift them. My concern prior to purchase was that the steps would be too steep and the steps too bulky for storage but that was not the case. The height works perfectly and we lay the steps on their side and slide them behind the sofa when not needed.

My dog pulled a ligament in front paw and was not allowed to jump up or down from my bed ( yes, my dog sleeps on my bed ). I bought this so that she could climb up and down. Turns out, she’ll use it for going up, but not down. I think it’s because the stairs are meant for smaller dogs ( my dog is a border collie and weighs around 65 lbs ). In all, I like the stairs but it seems my daughter plays with them more than my dog uses them.
