If you try to install this piece of junk, all you will end up with is an ugly hole in your door, hours wasted, and your extreme anger. It is simply impossible to cut a hole to the exact tolerances required to make this work properly. It doesn’t even come with the proper screws to hold it in place properly. I bought one for my cat and one for my dog. I have high-quality wood working equipment and I still couldn’t make it work properly. This company is a bunch of swindlers – any one who tried to install this would immediately realize it is an unworkable design.
My son had no problems installing this in our storm door. I purchased the medium for my Cairn Terrier, CockaPoo and Mini Bossie. I didn’t think it was going to be big enough, but it worked out fine. I’ve had it a couple of months now and it gets plenty of use daily (especially with 3 dogs who keep checking on me to make sure I didn’t leave while they were outside)! I only wish I had purchased another flap at the time because of the heavy use this one is getting.
