I have not read this entire book yet, but it is easy to follow and makes great common sense. I’ve already been able to apply the sit, stay, drop it, and nose to stick tricks with my 3 month old Papillon. Repeat…a 3 month old dog! It is hard to believe, but true. If I can do it anyone can do it. Some have complained that this book concentrates too much on clicker training, but I think the clicker is the way to go as my dog LOVES when I get the clicker in my hand. He is always willing to perform or practice new things and that is exactly what my intentions were when I was looking to buy a training book. Heck, I even held up a retractable tape measure out without having the clicker and my dog touched the end of it with his nose, so it doesn’t even matter if I have my training stick or not…he knows his nose touching the end is what is desired, so I’m 100% sold on the techniques described in this book. Best of luck to all of those considering this book. I’m very satisfied with the purchase and highly recommend it to others.

This book is the same as The Only Dog Tricks Book You’ll Ever Need: Impress Friends, Family–and Other Dogs! by Gerilyn J. Bielakiewicz and Paul S. Bielakiewicz!!!! The only difference seems to be the title, size and cover. I feel a little ripped off! I was so excited when I bought these books thinking “these people must be onto something to have a couple books on dog training and they have good reviews…I’ll buy them both!” WOW! Was I taken aback when after flipping through one I found the other to have the same information! I’m SO incredibly disappointed. The books are good…but I’m still miffed and feel ripped off! Also, this is directed more towards Clicker training for those of you who might wonder. As for the tricks, etc. I have read countless books and it seems they are all pretty much the same when it comes to tricks and basic training. You don’t have to make my mistake and buy a bunch of books on the topic to have an Uber Hund! One book will give you all the tricks you need! BTW…this book is $1.00 less than the other!

Lots of good ideas. The clicker speeds learning in half the time. I got this for the energized Border-Collie Mix. Now even our very careful and sedate dog is learning quickly

This book has good info, I bought it when I first got my dog, but it won’t tell you anything you can’t find out for free through Google.

    I wouldn’t buy this again.

This book is wonderful! It has become my new best dog training book and I love it. The tricks are easy to understand and the book is well organized. And the best thing is that it works! Follow the directions and your dog too will be amazing to you, your family, and your friends.
