I bought this book as suggested by a breeder I purchased a dog from. I was not looking for excellent quality. I bought the cheapest used version available and it was in amazing shape. No torn pages, no bent cover, nothing wrong with it at all. I was so happy! Thank you! Besides the look of the book, the book itself is very useful and helpful! Great suggestions on dog training.
This is probably one of the better books explaining how to train your dog.
It’s grounded in solid theory and logical steps to get the behavior you want in your pet without bribing it with treats.
There is also a section on correcting problem behaviors. It’s an older
book that has stood the test of time.
This book is outdated and I didn’t find it very helpful in training my dog.
My husband and I used this book 17 years ago for our Black Lab. This book is the best tool out there to assist in training your dog. It had worked so well for us 17 years ago that I had to track this book down again to use on my Chocolate Lab, she is 5 1/2 months old and is doing tremendously well with this training also. She is crate trained knows speak, sit, down, stay, come, wait commands etc. We are on week 6 of training with her. I recommend this to anyone that wants to find a fast and effective method in training.
nice great book, een if youve already started training your dog. i noticed a difference the first day!
